Warren, I think most of the solicitations you might receive for offers to increase traffic to your web site are scams.

It helps to have the key words, such as "astrophotography" in the title of your home page. As in "Astrophotography by Warren Keller".

Google ranks web pages by the number of external links to that page. So if there are lots of other pages that link to yours, you'll get ranked higher by Google. So, now all you have to do is talk other people / organizations with web pages into adding links to yours.
