RE: [APML] Vixen VC200L for film Astrophotos

FWIW, I was curious to find out if the new green-tube model of the VC200L is
actually for sale anyplace. You certainly can't find them listed at the
dealer web sites yet. I wrote to High Point Scientific first over a week ago
but never received a reply. That probably means they don't have any yet. I
checked Boston Telescope (www.bostontelescope.com) today and they said they
had one in stock for $1400. I'm going to wait a few months before deciding
to pull the trigger on one of these myself since I'm expecting to take
delivery on a 6" APO very soon. John and Manfred's pictures have convinced
me that this is about as good as I could do for film AP at longer focal
lengths. It'll make an excellent complement to a 6" f/7 APO.
