Knowing that it will be mandatory to discuss digital imaging in any future
editions of my book Wide-Field Astrophotography, I have been watching the
work done with the 10D camera very closely. I am inclined to think the
photo is legitimate. Lets face it, the high end digital cameras like the
10D have gotten good enough to work for long exposure astrophotography when
using staking and processing techniques that we have been applying to
regular film work. My prediction... if you think the Andromeda photo is
fake, hang onto your pants because you are not going to beleive some of the
other work being done with these types of cameras.
