Re: [APML] Sensia developed in C-41?

Yes, that's exactly what happens, I was bringing a few rolls of film over to our lab for processing onetime and all the film was slide film except for one roll of C-41. The film was shot by Steve O'Meara who likes to shoot slide film only. I was a little curious so they processed the C-41 roll as C-41 (it was in Kodak Gold 200 canister and everything) only to have the film come out exactly as you described. it turned out the film canister had been reloaded for him with slide film. Luckily it was just a few extra shots and not anything critical. I did find I could get a half way decent scan in color by scaning the film as a positive and then using Photoshops "invert" command. Nothing spectacular mind you but the color balance was ok and the subject matter could be made out.

A question for you photolab types out there.  I had to take some photos of
some astro equipment for an article I am doing so I used the last half of a
roll of Fuji Sensia (RA) that was already in the camera.  I got the roll
back yesterday and the images were unmounted and sleeved like negatives.
Furthermore, the unexposed portion of the film was completely transparent
while the exposed negative image was distinctly purple.  The film scans OK
if I treat it like B&W negative film, which is no problem because the images
would be B&W in print anyway.

Did the lab mess up and develop silde film in C-41 or does this sound like a
Fuji factory messup?

Thank goodness I took digital "backup" images of what was on the front of
the roll.  It was the TSP 2002 group photo.  I never took the film out of
the camera after TSP because we decided to use the digital iamge within
minutes of taking the group photo.
