FWIW I've got the older Multi and it doesn't have any problems like
Jeff is describing.

Jeff,

Does your multi scan pro have the same problem with 35mm? Doesn't the
multiple format stuff add some additional optics to the path that might not
be there when scanning 35mm? I just upgraded to a Scan Elite II and have no
such "rainbow streamers" - but I but the optics are different.
