Re: [APML] Royal Gold and Supra films
Joe,
Thanks. The UK Kodak announcement says the old Supra is being replaced with
Kodak Professional Royal Supra films. We will have to wait and see how much
the change to the new film affects our use for astrophotography.
When Kodak made the recent change to RG 200, the sensitivity to H-alpha was
reduced some, but the result is still a very usable film (when hypered). My
film testing is very sensitive to small changes in red sensitivity and I
detected the change between old and new RG 200 before I heard about it
officially. But my tests also show that the new RG 200 is still the most
sensitive film for long exposures of H-alpha nebula. We will have to test
the new version of Royal Supra to see how it does.
