Pretty typical.

Same here. I just got my last roll of Supra 400
developed and printed. I was able to expose 19 frames
last dark moon period, mostly what I was after were
the Cocoon and Bubble. I had exposures ranging from 40
minutes to 5 1/2 hours. I can say that Supra continues
to soak up light for as long as you can expose. The 5
1/2 hour exposure of the Bubble easily was twice as
deep as the next longest shot (140 minutes). It's too
bad that I failed to wake up as planned and when I did
wake up at 5:30 and went running out to end the shot,
I discovered the corrector was dewed over. The
autoguider (208XT) was still going with brightness
readings of '3'. All of which lead to a fairly soft
image, but impressive nonetheless.

Warning: this was done with an f/10 system. The 5 1/2
hours may not be a good idea for faster optics. :-)
Moral? For moderatly faint objects at f/10, there is
no such thing as too long of an exposure.

Alan
