Yep, thats exactly how it all looks.  The lab simply ran the film through on
the wrong machine.

Fortunately, the stuff I need off that roll was to be converted to B&W
anyway, so I am OK with that.  And the group photo was completed months ago
using the digital camera image taken at the same time.

I have seen folks use that technique on astrophotos, but have never
personally handled film processed that way.  The contrast jump is quite
extreme.
