Re: [APML] Sensia developed in C-41?

Robert;
    Many, many, many moons ago I processed some Fuji 400 slide film in C41.
There was a S&T article that showed that it increased contrast and colour
saturation in slide films. As I recall it just made the film grainy and
really hard to colour balance. (pre 386 days - no scanners!) Unlike C41
films it had a totally clear background, as you describe. I don't remember
if it was purple or not, but I remember that it was quite unlike normal C41
film. Sounds like you need a lab that has bigger C41 and E6 labels on their
machines - big enough that the staff can read them....

A question for you photolab types out there. I had to take some photos of
some astro equipment for an article I am doing so I used the last half of a
roll of Fuji Sensia (RA) that was already in the camera. I got the roll
back yesterday and the images were unmounted and sleeved like negatives.
Furthermore, the unexposed portion of the film was completely transparent
while the exposed negative image was distinctly purple. The film scans OK
if I treat it like B&W negative film, which is no problem because the images
would be B&W in print anyway.

Did the lab mess up and develop silde film in C-41 or does this sound like a
Fuji factory messup?
