I expect most people would agree that the US economy in general
is in considerably worse shape than it was prior to Sept 11.
Here in Silicon Valley the number of unemployed folks has
gone up noticably. Its easy to believe fewer people have money to
spend on the hobby. Perhaps thats part of what happened to Celestron.
Lets hope it doesn't happen to Meade or producers of quality
astronomical equipment.
