Re: [APML] Hydogen Alpha Deep Sky Filter Source

Bill;
    As the Lumicon Ha was not useable on a Schmidt camera, I have used the
Wratten 92. It has worked out quite well allowing me to go very deep, and it
rejects a good amount of light pollution. However, it may be hard to find.
You might find the odd store that has some Lumicon stock, if you are lucky.
Another option that I have about but don't have any experience with is
something called an R60 filter by Hoya. Apparently, this filter is used by
amateurs in Japan, as a replacement for Lumicon's Ha. Perhaps someone on the
list can comment?

Subject: [APML] Hydogen Alpha Deep Sky Filter Source

Gentlemen,

With the recent passing of Lumicon into the Black Hole of
non-profitability I am finding myself without a source of a 48mm HA
filter. Anyone know of another source ? I would hope (imagine ?) that
the original sources for the Lumicon Filters and other niche items such
as OAG's etc will reappear under a new guise. But until then ?

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Bill
