Re: [APML] Hydogen Alpha Deep Sky Filter Source

Bill,

I've measured the transmission of the Lumicon H-alpha filter at various
wavelengths. Here are some numbers:

wavelength transmission
     615.5 1.025
     625.5 5.054
     630.5 10.28
     645.0 49.78
     645.5 51.46
     656.0 79.71
     656.5 80.61
     658.0 83.18
     658.5 83.96
     664.0 90.11
     675.5 95.07

Note that transmission is about 80% at the hydrogen alpha wavelength.

Below are transmission numbers for #25, #29, and #92 red filters.

	25.00	29.00	92.00
580.00	0.00	0.00	0.00
590.00	12.60	0.00	0.00
600.00	50.00	0.00	0.00
610.00	75.00	10.50	0.00
620.00	82.60	45.00	0.40
630.00	85.50	73.50	17.40
640.00	86.70	84.20	51.20
650.00	87.60	87.80	72.20
660.00	88.20	89.20	80.70
670.00	88.50	89.80	84.80
680.00	89.00	90.30	86.50
690.00	89.30	90.40	87.40
700.00	89.50	90.50	88.00

The #29 and #92 filters are similar to the Lumicon filter and might
serve your needs.

Joe
