[APML] Help! new scanner analysis rainbow streamers

Well, I really don't know what to think.
I just put my Minolta Dimage Multi Scan pro thru some hoops.  I have these
rainbow streamers.  Are these  Newtonian rings or similar artifact?  I saw
these with the glass and glassless holder.  Looks like they become more
elongated and separated from the culprit star the further out you go from
the center of the FOV.  Any help in diagnosing this problem and finding a
solution would be helpful.  I hope the solution is to not return the
scanner.  It has worked well so far.
