Re: [APML] New image of IC 1805

Hi Herm,

I will try it on E200 next time. I have found scanning from E200 to be
very easy. I was shooting Supra 400 because the previous night I took four
shots of the Andromeda Galaxy in hopes of finally coming up with one of
those amazing images I see on the list from time to time... didn't work...
that galaxy is the biggest thing in the sky and I still can't shoot it to
satisfaction.

My back yard is in Southern Maine. I have light pollution in the horizons,
but overhead I still have a nice view of the Milky Way arms on clear summer
nights. I have a six acre field surrounded by woods so it remains pretty
dark in the back yard. The only problems are that my horizons are behind
the trees, and wife's horses also share the field with me so I have to
surround everything with an electric fence.

Alan

The image looks fine even with your tale of scanning woe (g).. I would try
E200 pushed +3 next time you try this.. it may be easier to scan. Would you
have better luck doing a raw scan and then adjusting levels in Photoshop?.

I think a see a bit of film creep (could be something else) on the upper
left hand of the image.

You took this from your backyard?
