Yes exactly.

No, actually the spacing was perfect. The ST10 and the lens were at the
perfect
relationship so I didn't need any additional blocks.

I tightened them gently because they will deform the lens if made too tight.

Yes I tightened them onto the rubber grips but again be careful about
making them too tight. I don't think you need the same support with the
lens as you do with the camera.

No, I wanted to but it wouldn't work with the rings in place.

No it worked out that I had an old pair of 150's and recently bought the
125's
If you can't get Scott to sell you one of each maybe I'll part with one of
mine.
