RE: [APML] New Pelican Nebula!

Alan, excellent shot of the Pelican, the deep reds of this object really
came out well.

Well, actually, its just a new picture of the Pelican Nebula.

Last month I took a couple of 60 minute shots of the North American
Nebula region on E200 with an IDAS LPS filter in my Takahashi FS102
working at F6. This is the first time I have had the E200 pushed two
stops during development, and I am happy with the results. Two 60
minute exposures were combined in Picture Window and cropped to blow up
the size of the Pelican region. I tried to refrain from blowing out the
detail too much during processing, but I might have been a little too
strong with it. You can find the image at:

P.S.

Thanks very much to all those who took the time to reply with hints
about framing shots, I will try some of your suggestions next new moon
period.

Alan
