Just to add my two cents.

I remember when Michael had his problems with the GM200.  I was very
interested because I had purchased one around the same time. Luckily I did
not experience his problems because it was quickly fixed.  It turned out
that the dsc controller was losing counts during some operations.  I don't
remember the exact cause but basically the controller was going to sleep at
times.  After this was fixed the dsc's we're, IMO, very accurate.  I used my
GM200 for years and only recently replaced it with an AP1200 mainly because
of the tightly integrated GOTO system.  I actually still prefer the finish
on the Losmandy mounts over the AP's.
