Lorenzo,

Thank you for your kind words about my book. After the end of the year when
I am out of school, I definitely will prepare the updates for a future
printing of the book. Some things have already changed since it was
published, such as the near universal abandonment of the chemical darkroom
in favor of digital processing.

I have given thought about a companion book devoted to prime focus and high
resolution astrophotography. But I have not decided if there is enough
unique material to warrant a totally separate book about that or if it would
be best to just add about two chapters to the existing book and rename it.
Truthfully, I am in awe of other astrophotographers who do the high
resolution prime focus work. I get the job done, bit it is not my area of
expertise. I would feel much more comfortable if I could talk someone else
into co-authoring a high-resolution astrophotgraphy book. I have someone in
mind and plan to pursue such an enterprise when I am out of school at the
end of this year.

So to answere your question, yes, I am planning another book, but these
things take time. After all, I have to earn a living in the meanwhile <G>.
It took four years to get Wide-Field Astrophotography into print. I
immagine it will be a few more years before a companion or follow-on version
is complete.

At this point, perhaps I should ask the collective conciousness of the APML
list what topics would you like to see addressed if there was a new book
about "everything except wide-field astrophotography". Such perspectives
from the list members would be valuable in planning such a project.
