Thanks for the heads-up on Dave's assension at Astronomy.  I also
unsubscribed during the Gordon regine because the magazine had become, in my
opinion, a comic book.  I have often wondered why Dave was passed over in
favor of "politically correct" editors while the magazine's quality suffered
so much.  Perhaps this will now reverse under his term at the helm.  He did
a great job with Deep Sky and have no doubt he can refloat the boat as long
as Kalmback higher-ups do not hamstring him.  I'll check out the October
issue.
