RE: [APML] NGC 6888 Ha (Ha/RGB)
Brian, that is an extraordiary image, look like waves rippling on a beach.
Only the deepest images show this effect, congratulations! the color is
"salmon - orange" on my monitor. perhaps a bit too much yellow. A
consequence of Ha/RGB images ive seen.

Subject: [APML] NGC 6888 Ha (Ha/RGB)
I was able to use the RGB's of NGC6888 I took last year with the FLI
IMG6303E and colorized
the first Ha I took last week of NGC6888. Here are the results:
http://www.heavensgloryobservatory.com/Color_Jpegs/ngc6888FHaGBweb.jpg
The Ha was exposure 20x6 min long, while the RGB's were 10x2min respectively
all in 2x2 bin
mode. I averaged the R/Ha frame for the RGB. The scope is a 20" F/4 newt.
Any ideas how to
reduce the graininess in the outlying nebulosities and improve the color
balance?
Best regards,Brian
