Re: [APML] Aurora!!



Hi Steve -
Its the first time I've seen one since I lived in northern Illinois back in
1991.  I missed the very rare times they were visible in southern CA.

While I write this, the far northern horizon is still brighter than normal,
but just a glow about 5-10deg high, no structure.  I have nothing but ocean
to the north and it is normally the darkest part of the sky.

I wonder how my images of NGC281 will turn out while shooting through the
storm.... hey, its only film...

Hi chris--you're lucky--we've only seen an aurora once in hte last 15 years
down
here near San Jose, Calif.

We normally have to settle for the Wall Mart nebulosity!
