Re: [APML] drift alignment question

Hi Steve,

When I drift for Az, I will select a new star if I am about to go over the
meridian, otherwise I maintain the same star through multiple adjustments.
For El I usually keep the same star.

My process is to drift Az first, until I have five minutes of no drift.
Then I go to El and adjust to my final requiremnments of 15 to 30 minutes of
no drift. Then I go back to Az and adjust to the final drift.

This allows for slight changes to Az by the El adjustments if you are not
completely level etc.

For me it's very easy and fast because my adjustments are usually only in
arc seconds because of my permanent pier.

Jim
