Ill leave a permanently aligned mount up there, Ive just finished a new one with
a byers drive gear. The mount can carry in excess of a 200 pound
telescope, so I can even mount my 20 inch on it.

Looks good! Are you going to
leave a mount in there permanently aligned... or maybe have some sort of
marking device that will get you close enough without having to drift? Or an
accurate polar scope?
