All great points.  I've attempted in Vain to find why 4 of them where printed at all!  

All of the photos but two has been edited in PhotoShop7.  
They ranged in file size from 296K to 76Mb!  
"file info" in PS did not show any of them to be "Copyrighted".
They didn't print anything that had been scanned or was from the wedding.
Not a one had any professional stamps in the corner...I've seen those on "Pro" prints...these where MINE!!

I think the judgment was by eye....the eye of the Walmart Photo technician.  

I've been looking for online printing services....PhotoWorks.com has 4x6 prints from digital for 19 cents.  Has anyone worked with them?

"I am a professional.  I took those."   If you are providing high res 
digital images, that should be proof enough that either a) you own the 
copyright or b) you were granted the copyright.

One other thing, make sure you don't use the Adobe Photoshop File->info 
tool to mark the images copyrighted.   It might flag something in their 
auto software.

I've not had a Walmart or Sams Club pull that on me.

Part of it is going to be building a relationship with them so they know 
you are professional quality and not to doubt you.  If nothing else, get 
some business cards printed that say  "Tim Hart/Photographer" on them and 
when you are questioned, pull one out and hand it to them.

Thats not the case, Walmart and Sams print on Fuji Crystal Archive paper, 
the longest life paper available.  They also use a finish similar to Lustre 
or E-Surface (a semi-gloss that doesn't show finger prints and such) and 
they don't put stupid borders on them like Ritz does.   You can have then 
turn off the back printing so they are not ID'd as coming from WalMart/Sams 
and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the output of 
those photos and your local pro lab.
