John, Id like to see a photo of your pier.  You can email it to me privately if you like.  Im hoping for the finish in the end of October, at the end of our monsoon.

It's been really interesting to follow your progress on this observatory project, especially since I've been s-l-o-w-l-y working on one also. I poured my pier in June, but still haven't put the walls up yet!!!
 
Oh well, it's good to see that someone's "somewhat" on schedule <g>.

Now that we are back from Australia, progress is continuing on the new observatory in Happy Jack in Central Arizona for my 8 inch schmidt camera.  We have just posted some new images of the work completed this weekend, your comments will be appreciated!
