I posted this to the SBIG list so I guess I better
spill the beans here, too...
The image is part of the RGB I
am shooting of the Ring Nebula... the red was interesting enough to post by
itself.
Scope is the 14.5"
f/8 Classical Cassegrain in my observatory in the foothills of the
Sierra... not very good seeing and transparency (still too hot and there's still
smoke in the air...).
Camera is an SBIG ST-10E... 30 -
7 minute exposures with the red filter, lots of flats and darks as well... all
the data fills up 7 100MB Zip discs and we still need the G and B components...
