Re: [APML] M57 RED



Although Tony's image is impressive by any standard, CCD's
routinely reach mag 15 on extended objects very easily. IC1296
is visible on almost any CCD image of the M57 region even with
small apertures. The outer halo is another thing entirely. Tony's ability
to bring it out without the penalty of excess noise is whats so impressive
about his processing skills.

The "big" barred spiral (IC1296) is 14.8 Mag... Hey Tony, should do the Hubble Deep Field next year...

What magnitude are those faint background galaxies?
