[APML] Determining camera FOV on starchart??
Hello group, cloudy on the east coast, praying for clear skies for the Black
Forest Star party this week!
I'm trying to make a clear overlay for my uranometria starcharts that would
be the approximate FOV that my 35mm camera sees when using a 10" SCT/F10
(2500mm FL) running prime focus.
I understand 35mm film is 24mm X 36mm. The FOV of the scope at F10 is 33 arc
min x 49.5 arc min.
How do I translate this to the starchart for an overlay?
Then what would the camera FOV be at F6.5 using a focal reducer?
Thank you, in advance, Gerry
