Re: [APML] Frist images with my C11

Steve;

     If you're building a dry air setup like Herm's you'll need the filter. If
you get one of the Drierite canisters,
http://www.drierite.com/default.cfm?goto_page=page5.cfm it already has a filter
built in. Notice the white line at the top an bottom of the desiccant, that's
about 1/4" of cloth-like filter material.

     The 26800 canister costs only $47.28, a pleasant surprise these days. When I
received mine I was impressed by its quality and heavy construction. The
desiccant is spring loaded between the two filter pads and the canister is sealed
with an O-Ring.

     You don't need a high flow rate, just enough to displace the moist air in
your camera. The 26800 canister lasts me at least 7 full nights, sometimes 10, in
Central Fla before it needs to be recharged. To recharge the Drierite it takes
1hrs @ 425deg. My total cost was about $60, but you can spend more if you get
carried away you get with your fittings and air pump.

     HINT #1: I used 1/4" RC Airplane Silicon Fuel Line to maintain flexibility
in the winter.
     HINT #2: ACE Hardware soft plastic pipe end covers, seal your lines when not
in use...joe  :)
