Could someone get practical and in the ballpark with me? I have a
standard tube Compaq monitor. My zero brightness is far away from black,
is that right? Contrast seems far more important in setting the picture,
with brightness as a sort of comfort fine-tune control? Of course the
conditions vary in day and night, but can anyone give me some feedback as
to what their settings in a nice dark room are?
I seem to go between 60-90% Contrast and 25-75% Brightness, and that's
just crazy! Adobe gamma doesn't help me, anyone know of a good website
pattern or if I can reach a consensus from you, I'll stick with it.
I need a standard for processing!!
Thanks!

You can try this site on how to set up Photoshop 6
if you are running this version.
