I think both shots are spectacular!  Getting into another CCD vs. film
debate will go no where.
You do have to realize though that Tony's image was taken from the dark
skies of California's High Sierra while Rob's was taken from just outside
Hartford, Connecticut in not so dark skies and low altitude.  Rob's work is
simply awesome.
Enjoy the images for what they are.

it means that two accomplished practitioners of their respective arts are
ending up somewhere close to the same result... this is to be expected given
the limitations of both with the atmosphere and equipment. As I mentioned, I
am really stoked with this new film... it will serve us well in the coming
year. I believe what Rob has to say, that with a 2Kx3K CCD we can do some
real damage... but right now the real damage would be to my bank account!
