Re: [APML] Film types for Lunar photography
I used e200, as it is the only
film I have a good amount of experience with (I didn't want to screw
around with something new).
But negative film is said to have a better bright/dark (is
this referred to as fidelity?) range as I understand it. So I was
wondering if anyone could suggest a good film for lunar imaging.
Probably dynamic range rather than fidelity. E200 has
great dynamic range. It is the only film I have used that showed a
nicely exposed lunar image with Aldebaran right on the limb during an
occultation. All other films had to have the Moon grossly
overexposed to be able to pick up Aldebaran at all. Right now for
me, E200 is the film. That will be until Kodak "improves"
it...
Clear skies!
