Re: [APML] Question on Hypering

Warren the LE400 has somewhat better red response and much better blue response hypered. My impressions for the N2 purged film is that it has better color balance and less fog, but I think the hypering benefits would still outweigh any associated moisture problems. The hypered tech pan is the stuff that MUST have the dry purge.

Subject: [APML] Question on Hypering

I'm currently hypering LE400 and such, and do not purge in the field. How many of you truly believe the hypering effort is still of benefit when I am shooting in high humidity levels? I am questioning the lasting effects of the process when often subjected for 7 hours to 65-85% moisture.

Thanks,

P.S. Great meeting Stosh, Jeff B and Tony P at BFSP! You guys are wonderful. Stosh send me your address, I owe you a hypered LE400!

Subject: [APML] NGC6820 and the Coathanger

Hey all -
I've uploaded my feeble attempt at NGC6820 in Vulpecula.  This nebula was
much fainter than I expected.  The image is a Blend in PW, I'm going to try
a Add and see if it helps any.
Mike Cook's recent ST10E image with his 5" refractor of this object clearly
shows the power of CCD.
