when combining film and CCD images, you first need to register the images
together. Second, you most likely will notice the star images in the film
image will be much larger than your CCD image, owing most likely to
halation
in the emultion and the long exposure of the film image compared to the
relatively short exposure(s) on the CCD. i shrink the film stars in maxim
DL
by applying an erosion filter, usually at the 3x3 radius. I then bring
both
images into Photoshop, blur the color shot then paste the CCD grayscale
image as "luminosity". A great step by step article on LRGB combining in
photoshop was published in the July issue of Sky & Telescope by Robert
