Takahashi makes foot levelers for their piers/tripods that should be useable
with just about any brand/model with little or no modification.  But as usual 
they cost a darn fortune <g>.  Perhaps Roland could come up with a cheaper
model that is just as good (hint, hint).  

But even a cheaper model is still not going to be cheap.  As a WAG I would
say close to US$250 for three units assuming high end bearings and thick
enough cast parts that won't move over time.  These aren't exactly going 
to be mass produced items (what astro items are?)
