Re: [APML] NGC281: Imaging in Moonlight

Hi Rob,

I just went out last night for an attempt at a nice techpan h-alpha mosaic
of the milky way and conditions were against me...the worst in fact.
Ground fog was the issue last night...my low to the horzon shot came out
well b4 the fog hit, but as I worked my way up, dew set in and then the
misty groundfog came.
What made it worse was the moon rising, and the now lit ground fog.
So there I was at about 25 mins into the exposure and all looked lost.
So instead of scrapping the shot, I wanted to see how far this filter would
go...I pushed it to 45 mins.

Before I developed, I wasnt expecting anything to turn out, but to my
surprise all was good.
They are definetly usable shots.

My fear of the moon with fillm has subsided since Ive been experimenting
with the lumicon filter.

If you attempt to try it, all I can say is have fun with it...tech pan is is
a joy to work with.....ya right.

Brian
