[APML] NGC281: Imaging in Moonlight

Hi all,
I realize this is a CCD image but I'm posting it to
bring up the issue of imaging in moonlight. I shot
NGC281 last night, three days after the full moon.

This is an RRGB (exposures = 40:10:10:10) taken
with an IMG1024 CCD camera (FLI) and my 12.5"RC.
I've actually imaged several emission nebulas in
bright moonlight with good results. Images taken using
"red" or H-alpha" filters are amazingly immune to moonlight
and skyglow. The green and blue exposures can be problematic
so I try to get them in before moonrise. Gradients often occur
in the green and blue channels but can be adjusted in PS.
I was wondering if anyone has tried doing tricolor or H-alpha
"tech pan" imaging on a moonlit nite with decent results. I've always
felt it was a shame to waste those great "seeing" moonlit nights.
