[APML] Messier Photographic Catalog

After all the recent noise on the list I thought I might propose a joint
project for all the list members.  I was thinking about doing a photographic
atlas of the Messier objects and may still do this but my little mind came
up with this idea.  Why not build a Web Site with linkages to all of the
APML members Messier images?

It would not require much Web space as no images would be stored there, only
links.  Selecting a Messier number would either take you to another list of
linkages or to the image.  Of course you would not be able to navigate the
list from individual images but using the back button would bring you back
to the catalog.  The link would include the photographers name and web site
location as well.

This is a sample of how it could be organized with a single link to M8
active.

Anyone interested in participating?  Any ideas on better ways to organize
it?  Anyone think I'm nuts?

I volunteer to host it if there is no space on the seds server but it would
be nice if Gene hosted it as an official APML project.  Gene?
