Re: [APML] Which Film Scanner

hi "FLag"
Lots of choices out there.... I have experience with only two so far: the HP
Photosmart (old model, pre S20) and the Polaroid SprintScan 35Plus. The HP
cost me about $495 new, the Polaroid (a discontinued model) cost $260 new on
EBay. I should think you could find a used HP for 200-250 and a used
Polaroid for the same or slightly higher. The Polaroid is the better scanner
and a lot of people have been using them for astrophotos with excellent
results. Not sure what interface the newer HPs use, but my old one and the
Polaroid both use a scsi card.
Good luck....
