Hi all,

Since some of the topics of late have turned to star parties, I thought I'd 
put a plug in for our local one...if you want to see some of the great skies 
in southern New Mexico, the White Sands Star Party III is your ticket.  Check 
out our web site at: www.zianet.com/wssp for information.
It's sponsored by the White Sands National Monument, Alamogordo Astronomy 
Club, and the New Mexico Museum of Space History (formerly the International 
Space Hall of Fame).  It's geared toward public astronomy education, and 
proceeds benefit Project Astro, so it's a worthwhile cause...plus there are 
tours of Apache Point Observatory (home of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey), the 
National Solar Observatory at Sunspot, and (just added) the Liquid Mirror 
Telescope in Cloudcroft, NM...
