Dear Frank,

    Proper and consistent slide processing can ONLY be done with expensive 
machines... this is the most touchy of the processes and requires seasoned 
and monitored solutions to give you consistent results. I have tried doing it 
in rotary tube processors... disaster! Although color negative processing can 
be done successfully like this, E-6 is one of the most critical processes to 
do consistently. At my old lab we monitored the process three times a day and 
used a $50,000 dip and dunk machine... in my experience anything short of 
this created inferior results. Also beware of any E-6 processor that is not 
"dip and dunk"...they will grind whatever is on the rollers into your film. 

      My opinion, for what it's worth.
