I dont' know if Brad has answered you or not, but I can add my personal
experience.
I have been using MWP2 for 5 years, as in italy it was available in 1 
liter packages.
Once Kim Zussman told me that D19 is better, but I had read on Wallis
book that MWP2 was an improved version of D19.
When last year the firm discontinued MWP2 production I had to turn to
D19, and...surprise I found it is stronger, faster and better than
MWP2 for recording faint nebulosities.
If well stored it lasts for several months, and most of all it is the
developer taken as a test from all important astrophotographers.
All datas for hypering test of TP film refer to D19.
What else could I say...
