[APML]: prof Observatory
It may be of interest to have these URL of a professional Observatory
in France where the Director (former astronomer at Palomar for several
years) is an astro-amateur like us!!
He works with a one and half meter Schmidt but on week-ends he goes
with friends to the mountains carrying a one meter telescope on a truck
for observing purposes.
I copy part of his last message to myself, hoping to get more success
that when I sent the ATTENTION message........
Well, do come, since there are a lot of things which have
changed since you last came. The camera should be back at
the telescope ( we are dismounting it for the full moon )
for the 4th of November at the latest. Your paper has to
talk about the Spaceguard Survey ( http://www.brera.mi
astro.it/SGF/ in Italy as you have guessed ) and of our
own asteroid search program here.
Our web page which I have to transfer to another computer
is currently at: http://taranis.obs-azur.fr:8080/tesca/
Some pictures are at some levels deeper like :
http://taranis.obs-azur.fr:8080/tesca/general/Photoim/
catalog.html for "photographic" images and :
http://taranis.obs-azur.fr:8080/tesca/general/info/
ccd_images-e.html for CCD images. I have to add a few
ones to this page tonight.
