[APML]: Active Light Pollution Reduction

i have a nearby (2000 feet away) Hg yard lamp which is on a
photosensor. The owner has'nt decided to remove it yet, so i have been
trying to shut it down with a Laser. 
i can shut it down ok at about 500 feet with a 1mW HeNe laser but it
would be a bit more convient to 
do it from 2000 feet. i am looking for a laser with a bit more power(
>10mW) to do this.
it is very hard to target the sensor because of the glare from the
light.
anyone have any experience with this kind of laser tag?

i did shoot some unhypered Elite II (ASA100) with an 8" schmidt camera
and the results were very good.
