MWP-2 work*ed* well with 103a- emulsions ...  which is what it was designed for
... various studies .. including one that I ran last year show that it works
very poorly with Tech Pan ....  almost a one-stop speed difference when
comparing MWP-2 ( 12 min @ 20 C ) and D-19 ( 12 min @ 20 C )....  

If you are processing for the KODAK time of 4 min in D-19 then you will
see MWP-2 lookng very nice ... however, this 4 min time is losing
you well over a stop in 'speed' ( measured sensitometrically .. )
and also does not provide for maximum film uniformity or repeatability

where you might find MWP-2 or D-19 useful is as a substitute for the
first developer in color processing .....
