I just baught $300 bucks worth of toys from Fred Lamothe II. Fred buys sells
and trades surpluss stuff, mainly optical. Fred can be reached at:
surplushak@aol.com
Among the goodies I bought is a 13.6" f3.6 lens with a front element 5.5"
diameter for $175. This lens may turn out to be gold or garbage, you never
know. I have toyed with the notion of designing and building a custom lens
of similar nature but it would cost a few thousand bucks and there may not
be a significant performance difference should this lens turn out to be good.
