Normally I don't bother.  It's desirable to keep the camera close to
the center of gravity of the telescope (I use a C5 also), and I like
having pictures that line up north-south and east-west.  

When tilting is necessary, you can use a tripod ball head or make
your own adapter.  But personally I prefer the straight north-south
orientation for all pictures.
