Hi Mike
  Twenty minutes seen to work better; resulting in a more accurate PEC
adjustment 
while using a Ultma 2000.   The ST-4 should work just fine.   Being more
important
is a term I've called "drifting,"  This is a method of polar alignment
which allows you 
aline the polar axis of your system.   Done properly, your ST-4 guide
numbers will be at 
there lowest value, facilitating good guiding.  I hope this is helpful.
