[APML]: Reducing film grain




I have been reading various suggestions about with the help of 
Photoshop's
blur filters and as other members of APML I agree that it is not a good
idea.
But if reducing film grain is possible doing integrated printing 
tecnique in traditional photography, why not using the same tecnique
on the computer?
Two or more negatives superimposed electronically would make the grains
reduced considerably as they do in the darkroom.
An example is Jason Ware colour M42 fantastic photo, done from 4 
negatives.
As far as I know, photoshop does not have a function to register 
different images of the same subject unless you use the free rotation
option that you can not control visually while you move the image.
You should get two identical prints using a register on the easel and
repeat the operation while scanning.
I have never seen programs like Mira, specially designed for astronomy.
Maybe they would allow you this possibility?
And does anybody know if with photoshop you could find a fast and 
effective way to superimpose two identical images coming from different
sources, provided they have the exact identical dimension and they have
been scanned at same resolution?
The problem is orientation thast must become IDENTICAL!
It seems that questions that i pose on this list are ignored (like the
seeing measure), I dont' know if because they are too silly or too
complicated....
