Nice image, Robert! I specially like the detail of the
bright top arc of the nebula, it's difficult to maintain
that area detailed and saturated while enhancing
the fainter parts. Seems that there is some clipped
data at the darker areas of the sky background...

Don't ask if you have overdone the image, simply
ask yourself if you are respecting the object and
ask yourself too if you are achieving the visual
impact you want. The sweet spot of YOUR (from your
subjective point of view) correct visual impact and an
unpleasant viewing of the photo is very thin :-)
